Food Drive

Help us support our local communities! From September 1st to 30th, our branches are hosting a food drive in support of Hamilton Food Share and Oakville Fare Share Food Bank. Thousands of people in our communities depend on these local, non-profit organizations every year and with Thanksgiving approaching, there’s no better time to give.

We are also accepting monetary donations to which MCU will be adding a corporate donation.

Hamilton Food Share helps 12 food banks across Hamilton who supply food to thousands of people every year. 95% of food provided to the public comes from the food industry, farmers, food producers, and the general public and the other 5% is bulk purchased by Hamilton Food Share. The bulk buy food program allows a $1 donation to be turned into $5 worth of food so every donation goes a long way! Visit their website for more information and for their list of most needed items.

Oakville Fare Share Food Bank has been serving the Oakville community since 1988. They provide food to up to 400 families per month and rely solely on donations from the public to support the organization and to purchase perishable food items which is vital to their program.
