AGM and Director Election Update

The nomination period for director elections closed on February 23rd. We are happy to share the following message from the Chair of the Nominating Committee:

The Nominating Committee reviewed all candidate applications for the Board of Directors and the candidates listed below will be elected. No election will be held at the AGM.

SPECIAL RESOLUTION

The Board of Directors will also be asking the membership to consider a special resolution to amend the Credit Union’s by-laws to:

• reduce the size of the Board from 9 directors to 7 directors effective from and after the Credit Union’s AGM in 2019,

• remove the qualification that any director candidate have been a member of the Credit Union for at least one year before seeking election to the Board, and

• increase the term limit for directors from 3 consecutive 3-year terms (i.e., 9 consecutive years) to 5 consecutive 3-year terms (i.e., 15 consecutive years).
